9/10. Top notch. A very impressive performance! Meal in Yorkshire Pudding was class although slightly not enough gravy. Atmosphere was good, liked the Six Nations vibe. Friendly barmain and just the right amount of room for an excellent slice of apple pie in a posh dish. X-Factor Contestant: Cher Lloyd.

9 - Fantastic pub, great atmosphere and lots of TVs for sports. Everyone was able to have a beef dinner, all served in a huge Yorkshire pudding: a major plus as one can have Yorkshire with every mouthful. Crunchy veg and piping hot roast potatoes were class, and a decent amount of beef for the meal. Just enough food to feel full and whole price of £3.49 is great value, and cheap pints to wash it down with. Perfect, but nothing is truly perfect.

8.5 A very reasonable priced roast dinner with enough beef to go round which was enhanced by being undercharged for a pint. The ambience was extremely pleasant and it was not a long wait at all. I really like the creativity of making a Yorkshire pudding large enough to hold the rest of the meal inside of it. The beef was cooked almost to perfection and the knife that was supplied was sharp enough to cut the beef with ease. The only downside was the limited amount of gravy on the dinner but it was strategically placed over the beef as opposed to the veg. There was a perfect amount of food that filled you sufficiently but still left room for a desert if it takes your fancy. On the whole a fantastic roast.

    9. This dinner was LITERALLY SICK. That's 'sick' as in the good sense. I wasn't sick after. On the contrary: I loved it. The portions were genrous, and all beautifully cooked. The 'massive Yorkshire pudding' concept was incredible - it worked a treat. A bit more gravy would have been nice but I can't really complain. The setting was sublime... a comfotable pub with friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Beer was cheap. Overall, a class act and definitely a toughie to beat. Brilliant. Just brilliant.
